Chapter 1 Einstein Analytics Terminology

 Following are 3 Layers

1] Data Layer

  • Data Sync / Connect
    • Sync objects from local org.
    • Sync remote objects from Connectors.
    • Schedule sync per connect
  • Dataflow Editor
    • Build datasets through dataset builder.
    • Edit dataflow (moves data from one place to another) for additional transformations.
    • Schedule different dataflows after sync.
  • Recipes
    • Create new datasets from existing datasets.
    • Schedule recipes after dataflows if any dependency.
  • Monitor
    • Monitors the jobs.
App launcher ==> Analytics Studio ==> Data Manager


2] Designer Layer

  • Lens
    • Click on a dataset to explore.
  • Dashboards
    • Consists of widgets(charts/lists) and Steps(queries)
  • App
    • Similar to folder
    • contains relevant datasets/lenses/dashboards related to business purpose.
    • Can control access to this app.

3] Intelligent Layer

  • Create Stories.
    • Create story from a dataset.
    • Story analyses
      • What Happened
      • Why it happened
      • Predicts what can happen
      • Lets you take further action.
  • Deploy
    • Deploy the story to end users in target object page.
Important tips:
  1. Collaboration : Leverage annotations and sharing.
  2. Actionability : Click on a record to take immediate action.
  3. Self Service : self exploration of dashboard.
  4. Embedded Analytics : embed analytics on record pages of objects.
